Aug. 18, 2020, VERO BEACH, Fla.: Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital welcomes board-certified interventional cardiologist Carlos Andres Gonzalez Lengua, MD.

Dr. Gonzalez earned his doctorate of medicine from Universidad National de Colombia School of Medicine. He completed fellowships in Cardiac CT/MRI at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital, cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology at Mount Sinai Hospital, Mount Sinai St. Luke’s and Mount Sinai Beth Israel hospitals and a structural heart disease fellowship at New York University School of Medicine (NYU Langone medical center).
Dr. Gonzalez specializes in catheter-based treatments for people who have heart disease. These procedures are minimally invasive and don’t require open heart surgery. They include coronary, peripheral, congenital and heart valve interventions.
Prior to joining Indian River Hospital, Dr. Gonzalez has served as an attending physician at NYU Langone Medical Center and Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital.
