Vero Beach, FLA (Nov. 14, 2016) — Indian River Medical Center’s heart program will celebrate its 10th anniversary serving Indian River County residents with a free community event in the Patient Pavilion from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m., Sunday, November 20.
IRMC will offer tours of the Heart Center’s new state-of-the-art electrophysiology lab and will have informational booths on our cardiac related service lines. The MEGA Heart, an inflatable, highly interactive educational exhibit will also be on-site to offer an inside look into the human heart.
“We are extremely proud of our past 10 years and the cardiac team that enables us to offer nationally recognized care to our community,” Jeffrey L. Susi, President/CEO said. “Generous donor support has allowed us to save lives and improve quality of life for so many. Continuing support helps our heart program grow. We now offer cardiac electrophysiology and will add Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) in 2017.”
For the past decade, IRMC has evolved into a leader in advanced cardiac care – with more than 18,000 cardiac surgeries, heart catheterizations and stent procedures performed. IRMC is home to one of the best cardiovascular teams of physicians, nurses, technologists and other support staff.
